Jimmer Fredette signs with Yao Ming's Shanghai Sharks

After failed attempts in the NBA, former first-round pick Jimmer Fredette will head to China to continue his career.


signed a contract with the Shanghai Sharks, according to reporter David Pick.

The Sharks are owned by future NBA Hall of Famer Yao Ming.

Fredette spent most of last season with the Knicks' D-League team, the Westchester Knicks. He played well, averaging 21 points with 5.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds.

He also played on the Nuggets' summer league team.
