Heat deal Shabazz Napier to Magic in luxury tax dump

After one year in Miami, Shabazz Napier will be taking his talents elsewhere in the state of Florida. 

The former Connecticut star has been traded to the Magic for a protected second-round draft pick, according to Yahoo Sports.

Shipping Napier will reduce the Heat's luxury tax payroll by $1.3 million.

It's the second time Napier has been traded in a little over a year after Charlotte selected him 24th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. The Hornets traded him to the Heat on draft night. He averaged 5.1 points

and 2.5 assists as a rookie last season.
